High Intensity Therapist Bristol or Remote

The Role: What you’ll do

As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist you will work remotely within our IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) based in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

You will offer 1:1 High Intensity interventions via face-to-face appointments, secure telephone or video link, along with receive weekly supervision & training as part of your role as well as providing peer supervision to other colleagues within the team.

Your skills and background:

Essential:

  • Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) or other Post Graduate CBT training course.
  • BABCP accreditation or provisional BABCP accreditation
  • Experience of providing high intensity interventions for common mental health problems
  • Good IT skills – Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Patient record systems
  • We welcome newly qualified practitioners
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion
  • Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required

Desirable:

  • Experience of facilitating groups
  • Other IAPT qualifications i.e. EMDR, Couples for Depression, MBCT
  • IAPT Supervision Qualification

All frontline colleagues who are required to provide Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated activities or IAPT services must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Therefore, in line with new government regulations which come into force on 1 April 2022, anyone employed in this role will need to provide evidence of vaccination, or that they come within a specified exemption as part of pre-employment checks.
