IAPT Counselling for Depression (CfD) Practitioner

The Role

You will deliver Counselling for Depression (CfD) via multiple channels including telephone or secure video link.

We are looking for practitioners that are based locally within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to carry out a blended role remotely and on-site . However we will also consider practitioners who wish to work remotely.

Where required, conduct structured telephone-based assessment providing immediate emotional support and make clinical decisions based on clients presenting issues and needs, and ensure positive outcomes by encouraging the most suitable clinical interventions.

You will  manage your case load and be accountable for and deliver service key performance indicators.

Your skills and background:

Essential:

  • Counselling for Depression (CfD) qualification from a recognised CfD training provider.
  • ACP accreditation or working towards accreditation
  • Experience of delivering Counselling for Depression (CfD) within a counselling / Psychological therapies service
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessment and formulate robust risk management plans
  • Experience with routine clinical outcome monitoring
  • Worked in a service where agreed targets are in place demonstrating outcomes
  • Experience of MDT working groups
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion
  • Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required

Desirable:

  • Accredited by a recognised professional Counselling body, e.g. BACP, UKCP
  • Experience of working in psychological therapy or mental health services
  • Commercial awareness and / or experience of working in a corporate environment
