Kent and Medway Talking Therapies Administration Manager

Role Responsibility

 

 

Vita Health Group and With You are delighted to be launching a new clinical partnership, bringing together over 40 years of mental health experience, to support individuals and communities across Kent and Medway. We are looking for pioneering, skilled clinicians & administrators to join us on this exciting journey and play a central role in shaping the delivery of NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression across the region.

We are recruiting an Administration Manager role for this new partnership which offers a great chance for you to build on your management experience and develop your career in a fast-growing organisation.

The core purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the NHS Administration team through the provision of sound, timely and courteous administration services for NHS patients, referring GPs, healthcare professionals and ICB contacts. It encompasses a range of administrative, reporting and financial responsibilities that support the day-to-day operations of the business, as well as contributing to its ongoing development.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the administration team across this new service. Many of the administration team will be from previous providers so will have an existing depth of knowledge which you will be responsible for encouraging and ensuring the team become the central point for customers and colleagues.

This role will also give you the opportunity to join a growing team of Administration Managers throughout the UK who will support you and enable you to expand your knowledge. It is a friendly, supportive and collaborative environment and you will play a key role in the efficient running and leadership of a new team supporting the success of the Kent & Medway service and you will also work closely with a range of stakeholders around the organisation.

It is a Hybrid role - home and office based in and around the Kent & Medway area so ability to travel to different sites is needed.

Key activities will include:

  • Undertaking a wide range of duties to support the NHS service.
  • Providing management support and expert knowledge to the NHS Administration Team.
  • Oversee all administration processes to enable a high quality, effective patient focussed service to be delivered,
  • Utilising standard operating procedures to ensure achievement of all KPIs.

Skills and Experience:

Experience

  • Management experience is essential.
  • Experience of working with and dealing with the public is essential.
  • Experience of managing the performance of a team is essential.
  • Experience of knowing how to motivate a team to regularly achieve business KPI’s and rewarding as appropriate.
  • Experience in presenting and producing meaningful reports for the senior management team.
  • Experience of working within an NHS and/or Private healthcare environment is an advantage

Skills

  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic manager who is able to lead by example.
  • Comfortable using judgment to take decisions on own initiative.
  • Confident and credible with the ability to inspire confidence and lead staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Drive to learn quickly, especially in relation to internal IT applications.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proactive approach and able to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Positive and innovation approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Some flexibility with shifts may be required to assist with cover due to staff absence.
  • Willingness/ability to travel as the administration team is situated across multiple sites.
