Long Covid Therapist/Registered Psychologist Band 8
The Role:
Vita Minds BNSSG are expanding the Long-Term Conditions Pathway to meet the needs of Long Covid within the local area. We work in partnership with local health care providers on providing care for those identifying with Long Covid and seeking treatment for depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
The overview of the role is to provide treatment for those entering the IAPT service who have had emotional impact from contracting covid.
It is an exciting opportunity to work in a new area of Long-Term Conditions/MUS and contribute to the developments of the service and cultivating links with health care providers within the Long Covid pathway in the BNSSG.
- Vita Minds are aiming to recruit one Band 8 who is experienced of working with physical health conditions and can provide supervision.
- The role is 37.5 hours (can be flexible depending upon the most suitable candidate).
- It is based in BNSSG (North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire)/remote working is possible.
- This role is a fixed-term position for 2 years.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Registered Psychologist - Doctorate in Clinical/Health, registered with HPC and BPS and experience of using CBT/EMDR/ACT.
- HI-Intensity Therapists- Post-graduate Diploma in CBT
- IAPT-LTC training
- Accreditation with BABCP
Desirable:
- Experience of applying CBT for those with Physical Health Conditions
- Experience of using ACT or trained in EMDR
- Working within a Long-Term Condition pathway
- IAPT supervisors training
