The Role:

Vita Minds BNSSG are expanding the Long-Term Conditions Pathway to meet the needs of Long Covid within the local area. We work in partnership with local health care providers on providing care for those identifying with Long Covid and seeking treatment for depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

The overview of the role is to provide treatment for those entering the IAPT service who have had emotional impact from contracting covid.

It is an exciting opportunity to work in a new area of Long-Term Conditions/MUS and contribute to the developments of the service and cultivating links with health care providers within the Long Covid pathway in the BNSSG.

• We are aiming to recruit 3x full time Band 7 roles and one Band 8. Band 8 may have additional modalities such as EMDR or ACT or Counselling for Depression.
• The role is 37.5 hours (can be flexible depending upon the most suitable candidate).
• It is based in BNSSG (North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire)/remote working is possible.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Registered Psychologist - Doctorate in Clinical/Health, registered with HPC and BPS and experience of using CBT/EMDR/ACT.
• HI-Intensity Therapists- Post-graduate Diploma in CBT and IAPT LTC training, accreditation with BABCP and top up IAPT LTC training
• An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion
• Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required.

Desirable:

• Experience of applying CBT for those coping with the emotional impact of Long Covid
• Experience of using ACT or EMDR
• Working within a Long-Term Condition pathway.
