A unique opportunity has arisen to work in a well-established clinic, The Abbey Clinic (within Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, near Marlow) and part of the VHG network.  A highly qualified and specialist team of physiotherapists and professionals offering a high-quality service.  Looking for a motivated osteopath to be a part of this multidisciplinary musculoskeletal and sports specialist clinic.

 

About the candidate:

To be successful you must:

  • Have a degree in Osteopathy
  • Membership/registered HCPC and GOsC
  • Be motivated and enthusiastic with the skills and confidence to work independently.
  • Be able to work amongst a multidisciplinary team (podiatry, sports massage, sports rehab, physiotherapy)

About The Job

  • Contractor Part time - evening and weekend availability is preferable.
  • Competitive revenue share based on experience & qualifications.

  • Our administration team is available to assist with all aspects of administration.
  • The Clinic is open Monday to Thursday: 8am – 8pm, Friday 8am – 5.00pm and Saturday mornings. With some 7am starts

  • Shockwave therapy 
  • We are anticipating introducing an injection service in the next 6 months
  • Podiatry, sports massage, sports rehabilitation, biomechanics and running gait analysis, paediatrics specialist physio, osteopathy.
  • We have good relationships with local orthopaedic consultants and GPs

Main Responsibilities  

  • Vita Health Osteopaths will be responsible for carrying out musculoskeletal interventions in a face-to-face setting. 
  • Be able to effectively assess and diagnose musculoskeletal issues, setting appropriate client expectations thus achieving high levels of client buy in & engagement 
  • Deliver evidence-based and client-centered care, supporting clients beyond recovery and optimising them to achieve personal goals and high quality of life aspirations. 
  • Signposting & referring to additional services where clinically relevant.

 

Your Skills and Background:

Essential

  • Degree in Osteopathy. 
  • Registration with all relevant statutory bodies including the Health and Professionals Council and the General Osteopathic Council. 
  • Previous experience in managing a varied caseload of clients. 
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion. 
  • Working knowledge of osteopathy assessment and management 
  • Demonstration of ongoing clinical development (CPD) 
  • IT literate - intermediate level. 

Desired

  • Experience working within the private osteopathy sector 
  • Further post graduate degree
