NHS Dermatology Administration Manager

Vita Health Group works in partnership with the NHS to provide dermatology services to support local residents across Southport, Formby and Sefton.

An opportunity has arisen for an Admin Manager to join the growing Dermatology Services within Vita Health Group. 

The Role:

  • The core purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the NHS Dermatology Administration team through the provision of sound, timely and courteous administration services for NHS patients, and clinical colleagues. It encompasses a range of administrative, reporting and financial responsibilities that support the day to day operations of the business, as well as contributing to its ongoing development.
  • The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties to support the NHS Service. Providing senior support and expert knowledge to the Dermatology Administration Team, they will implement and oversee all administration processes to enable a high quality, effective patient focussed service to be delivered, creating and utilising standard operating procedures to ensure achievement of all KPIs.

Skills and Experience:

Essential Experience:

  • Management experience
  • Experience of managing the performance of a team
  • Creation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Experience of knowing how to motivate a team to regularly achieve business KPI’s and rewarding as appropriate
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary Service
  • NHS Pathways and Processes experience
  • Experience of Team Audits

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Drive to learn quickly, especially in relation to internal IT applications
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proactive approach and able to prioritise and multi-task
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • A hands on manager that is willing to assist the team is essential
  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic manager who is able to lead by example
  • Comfortable using judgment to take decisions on own initiative
  • Confident and credible with the ability to inspire confidence and lead staff
  • Positive and innovation approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Some flexibility with shifts may be required to assist with cover due to staff absence
  • Willingness/ability to Travel if required by the business.
