Pennine MSK Partnership is an award-winning service commissioned by Oldham Integrated Care Systems (ICS) to provide care for the patients of Oldham in Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Persistent Pain in a community setting across several sites in and around Oldham. We are an NHS employer under AfC T&C's.

We have a large multidisciplinary team of 90 clinicians and 40 Operational staff who work in the service to provide an outstanding pathway of care for our patients.
Our multidisciplinary team includes clinicians from a variety of roles such as in rheumatology, physiotherapy, podiatry, and pharmacy.

What you will do in the role…
The main purpose of this role is to support the running of a wide spectrum of clinical research studies across the service ranging from single centre studies to large multi-centre clinical trials.

The post holder will also be expected to use their skills and knowledge to support local, regional, and national audit activity. You will need to be able to work autonomously within an established nursing team, be flexible and demonstrate initiative and possess excellent organisational, IT, interpersonal and communication skills.

You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to support the running of a wide spectrum of clinical research studies across the service ranging from single centre research studies to large multi-centre clinical trials.

You will be involved in ensuring that the research undertaken safeguards the well-being of the patients and is conducted within research governance legislation and local policies for research.

The role includes:
  • Recruitment to studies
  • Co-ordination of care of patients and participating in research
  • Collection of research data in accordance with principles of good conduct
  • Maintenance of databases
  • Support local, regional and national audit activity
