Senior IT Business Analyst

The Role

  • Working in a key role within VITA Health Group the Information Technology – the Business Analyst (IT-PMA) will be a key member of Vita Health Group owning, shaping and delivering both programme management office and IT specific ideas, assessing the feasibility and taking forwards those ideas into projects. The role holder will enjoy using business analysis techniques and approaches to problem solving, opportunity assessment, information gathering and project management with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Will lead as business analyst and/or project manager as needed and apt on project, work initiatives.
  • Work as a key lead in analysis within IT and work closely with the central project office, taking ideas from the point of idea into projects and live services.
  • Significantly contribute to improvements in road mapping and reporting of programs, projects, and initiatives
  • Will lead on designated IT projects/initiatives both in business analysis and project management delivery and initiatives ensuring they are scoped, and delivery is managed including RACI, gates, RAID, milestone, and fiscal tracking as appropriate.
  • Will coordinate relevant project workshops, meetings, boards and operational teams and appropriate resources through governance and phases of delivery.
  • Will lead on work break down structures ensuring ideas and projects are scoped and appropriate resources are allocated and identified.
  • Will lead on requirements gathering, documenting and prioritisation for delivery.
  • Will work on business cases from seed ideas to funding decision, through delivery.

 

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • An IT /Business Change related degree or MSc equivalent
  • An appropriate PM/Programme Manager Certification E.g. – Prince II or Agile PM
  • 3 years’ experience delivering digital, IT and operational solutions such as CRM, new web site, communications platforms, billing systems or innovative technology
  • 3 years autonomously leading in a key role on projects which release operational efficiency or underpin market growth
  • 3 years’ experience as a lead/significant role, BA/PM/Product Owner on formal IT/digital projects delivery in any market.
  • 3 years IT/digital projects or related IT business analyst/team-lead role delivering IT/System/Digital project changes
  • ITIL Foundation V3/V4.
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion
  • Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required

Desirable:

  • ISEB BA Diploma
  • 4-5 years specific digital and or IT specific project management experience in an IT PMO, Digital Agile or Central PMO office as equivalent to the referenced qualifications.
  • 2 years plus experience of group wide end of year planning in preparation for new fiscal year
  • 3-5 years’ experience of leading project delivery/change with NHS trusts, CCGs, PCNs and delivering project change in private health care which extends to NHS services.
  • 4-5 years plus, experience as a significant role, BA/PM/Product Owner on formal IT/digital projects delivery in any Health Care/NHS setting is desirable.
