Step 4 Psychological Therapist
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to increase your clinical experience of working with complex mental health presentations? This full or part-time 10-month secondment will provide a rare opportunity for a High Intensity Therapist or similar to join our Psychological Therapies Service (aka Step 4), providing specialist psychological therapies to clients across Basildon & Brentwood.
Making People Better
As the bridge between Primary and Secondary care, our Step 4 team provides appropriate, evidence-based treatment for patients whose needs have been considered too severe for primary care IAPT services. In this role, you will manage a caseload of patients at different stages of the service, from assessment through to treatment and discharge. You would be required to manage risk where necessary and apply NICE-approved approaches to individual and group therapies. You will develop strong relationships with external health and care services, working in partnership to maintain the dignity and support of your patients.
Through your clinical expertise and passion for patient care, you will contribute valuable insights and recommendations to continuously improve and develop the service. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated clinicians and participate in regular clinical supervision and case management, with a modality-specific supervisor who will work with you to identify opportunities for ongoing training and development.
