Mental Health Practitioner EAP

Mental Health Practitioner

 

Location:

Remote Flexible Working

Hours:

Full Time. We are particularly interested in candidates that can offer afternoon and evening work (can be flexible) Monday to Friday 08:30- 17:00 (can be flexible)

Duration:

12 months fixed term with likelihood to become permanent

Salary: 

£31,000-£33,000 dependent on experience

 

                             

The Role:

  • You will be a member of the EAP clinical team offering telephone based emotional support directly to clients accessing our helpline, mental health assessment, guidance, signposting and recommendations in relation to onward referral to specialist teams.
  • You will provide guidance and informal supervision to other members of the clinical team including counsellors and PWPs, particularly in relation to severe and enduring mental health presentations.
  • Potential future developments to take on team management of small group of practitioners

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • RMN, Mental Health Social Worker, Mental Health Occupational Therapist
  • Current registration with NMC or HCPC
  • An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience in mental health.
  • To engage with people with mental health problems, assess their needs, design and deliver appropriate interventions and evaluate the effectiveness care provided.
  • and manage risk.
  • The ability to work effectively with a large number of stakeholders, managing communications and maintaining good relationships.
  • Experience of working with people with acute and long term mental health problems in a community setting.
  • Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required (occasional not regular travel)

Desirable:

  • Acertat/diploan Counselling or other psychotherapy equivalent
  • Accredited Membership of BACP, UKCP, BCP or NCS.
  • Qualification in people management or other management or leadership qualification
  • Experience of supervising counselling/therapy students, trainees and/or staff
