Step 4 Psychological Therapist
As a Psychological Therapies Service, the safety and wellbeing of our patients sits at the heart of our clinical practice. Patients that live with complex mental health needs have in the past at times experienced challenges to accessing appropriate, evidence-based psychological therapy if their needs have been considered too severe for primary care IAPT services yet fall short of the criteria for entering traditional secondary care services. Access to appropriate and necessary specialist psychological therapies is vital to this patient population and that is where we come in.
Here at Vita, our Step 4 Psychological Therapies Service provides high quality, evidence-based treatment for patients with complex presentations. We are looking for an experienced clinician to bring their skills, experience, and passion for patient care to a role within a new and innovative service in the Basildon and Brentwood locality.
Making People Better
As the bridge between Primary and Secondary care, we see the impact of the work we do with our patients every single day. In your role as a Psychological Therapist you will manage a caseload of patients at different stages of the service, from assessment through to treatment and discharge. You would be required to manage risk where necessary and apply NICE-approved approaches to individual and group therapies. You will develop strong relationships with external health and care services, working in partnership to maintain the dignity and support of your patients.
Through your clinical expertise and passion for patient care, you will contribute valuable insights and recommendations to continuously improve and develop the service. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated clinicians and participate in regular clinical supervision and case management, with a modality-specific supervisor who will work with you to identify opportunities for ongoing training and development.
